Where are the cheapest homes/houses in the nation?

Looking for a home that cost cheaper in one place then the same house would be somewhere else..example 3 bed room home in one state would be alot cheaper then in california...where are the cheapest houses?Where are the cheapest homes/houses in the nation?
There are cheap homes in every market, they are usually in bad shape in bad neigbhorhoods or they are forclosures. Along with cheap housing comes low wages in the region. Where housing is higher, wages are higher.Where are the cheapest homes/houses in the nation?
The Midwest down to Texas will have many locations that are very inexpensive.

If you look at the averages you will see X. If you look for the lowest prices you can find lower. Maybe run down areas or fine areas except there is little in the way of employment.

At some level home prices reflect incomes as most of the time (70%) the value of the home is a function of the mortgage that someone can afford to pay while they live there. That is a broad statement and there are exceptions. Otherwise I suspect you will get the point.

Note that weather can be a factor. Snow birds are people who retire and move to a warmer climate. They are not always rich but many do have equity from the home they sold where they once lived.

Look for places that have had a factory close and you might find a bargain. Also consider parts of the west (Dakota's, Wyoming, etc) as there are communities where they can not really give away the home.

One home we purchased last summer was a 2 bed single family home with garage. It needed work and it was bank owned (REO). The bank was asking $14K and we purchased it for $10K. Another $18K in repairs and it was ready to rent. The value after repairs was $60K
I am buying a house for $11,500 cash: a neglected house in a good neighborhood in Vincennes, IN. (2 bed, 1 bath)

I guarantee it's not a town you really want to move to though
Oklahoma...in 2000 the median home in the US was worth 119,000. However the median home value in Ok was 79,000. Which was the lowest state in the Union.
i think texas

i did a little research a while back and i was trying to answer the same question you have and i couldnt find a cheapest place but where i am at!

3 bedroom house brand new is probably around $170,000

2,000 to 3,000 sq ft
The midwest and southern states, but why would you wanna live there? Theres a reason some places are more exspensive then others, quality of living.

Looking for list on homes/housing that are repossessed and auction off?

I have found that auctions do not usually bring your best deal.

Search properties with low listing prices on real estate sites.

These are usually bank owned(has been foreclosed) and the bank is just trying to get out of it what they have in it. I found a property 3+ acres listed for $25000. I offered the bank $18 for it. They told me that there was another offer, so I raised my offer to 22.5k and got the property.Looking for list on homes/housing that are repossessed and auction off?
Contact a real estate agent. I've been looking for foreclosures in San Diego for the last few months and my real estate agent sends me listings from customized searches for specific types of properties, listed in a specific price range, for short sales and foreclosures in specified zip codes. He can also get lists of auction properties with the same criteria.

My wife's daughter also has a real estate agent sending her listings of short sales and foreclosures, based on specific search criteria.

Real estate agents and brokers generally subscribe to premium listing services that are only available to licensed real estate professionals. In fact, when he sends me a link to the latest listing sheets, it's specifically for a prospective buyer. There is then a companion listing sheet just for the agent/broker that contains more detailed information (like how much is owed to the bank on a foreclosed property). With this kind of information, the agent/broker can call the listing agent and discuss the property, and then advise the prospective buyer of how much of an offer or bid to make for a good chance of picking up the property for as little money as possible.

Sure, you can sign up on one of those foreclosure listing services. But, they give you limited information and, if you want more detailed and background info, you have to contact the real estate office that's providing the listing service. So, you might as well pick your own agent/broker and have them do the leg work for you.

  • My Council Home - Housing Advice! Please help!!!?

I am currently in a council flat in Barking and in full receipt of housing benefit! I want to move out my area. I have been trying for 7 years this year with bidding and exchange adverts on all websites etc and had no luck.

Was wondering if i was to give up my council property how soon could i go private renting and the housing benefit would pay for me to private rent??

Would appriciate any help.My Council Home - Housing Advice! Please help!!!?
Yes you could - BUT make sure your new LL takes Housing Benefit claimants for starters as you will have to provide a signed Tenancy Agreement to get the Council to pay the rent. And it will take around 6 weeks to get sorted. My Council Home - Housing Advice! Please help!!!?
you can always do council swaps, advertise and its a mutual exchange between you both (with relevant paperwork e.c.t). if you are wanting to go private, council will only pay what they think the place is worth half the time. They come out on visits and check out the place and can take wks for the crossover in financies.
couldnt you get a council rent in a different area?

anyways lots of private rented landlords wont allow people with housing benefits as they dont get much profit from it and it can take ages to find one

Where did people live before they started to make homes/housing?

Early man tended to live in the same environment as animals, huddling under trees or in dugout or in a cave for warmth. As tool making and other technologies grew, people began making mobile shelters (tents, hogans and teepees) which they used for at least part of the year. Sometimes they built more permanent structures out of logs or rock and came back year after year on their migratory path.

The answer above said that almost no people lived in caves, and he's completely wrong. Cave sites in North America, Spain, France, Britain and Eastern Europe have yielded some of the most important finds regarding our earliest history, and have clearly shown generations on top of generations of people living in caves, at least part of the year. The very term Neanderthal, after all, comes from a cave complex in France where cave paintings and the debris pf tool making and food preparation show long inhabitation.

However, it's important to remember that, except in a few temperate locations close to the seas, most humans were nomandic until the agricultural revelution began. After then, many people began settling down and had to find a way to protect themselves from the environment in one place, year round. They had greater stability and could sometimes produce a food surplus, and so were able to start creating what you would refer to as permanent housing. Those who continued to be nomadic, mostly continued to lead a cave / tend / temporary wood or grass structure sort of life. They mostly followed the heards, and over time, began tending the heards, but remained largely nomadic.Where did people live before they started to make homes/housing?
Well, you know, in the woods. Where else would they live if they didn't have homes? J/K :)

As several have pointed out, before agriculture most people were on the move most of the time, so they didn't really have homes and would shelter wherever they could. Gotta remember, people were a lot tougher back then, so as long as they could get out of the wind they could shelter for the night almost anywhere. Like, you know, the other animals. And yes, caves were used extensively, and caves near permanent hunter/gatherer food sources like a good productive coastline were probably the first real ';homes'; humans ever had.

Archaeological evidence of temporary brush shelters and hide tents and such wouldn't survive, so to a large extent the answer to your question is still unknown. Interesting question.Where did people live before they started to make homes/housing?
Good question. That depends on which people you talk about; there is a big difference between early Europeans and Australian Aboriginies! Not only are different cultures... well, different, they did not all start building houses at the same time.

However, generally speaking, many people were nomads first, and they would travel around, living off the land as they moved (that includes hunting), and probably constructing temporary shelters as they went. It was with the advent of agriculture people began to settle down and construct more permanent housing.
Imagine yourself many miles from what you think of as civilization and embellish on the thought by having a mate and some children to provide for. Now there are no apartments or empty ranch style homes in sight and it looks like a storm is coming! The first time this happens you all scramble to find a big tree or overhanging rock to get under and out of the weather. I think that this would get you thinking about putting together something, made out of trees most likely, to be able to shelter in to sleep, eat and get out of the weather, if not for you, then certainly for your children. So at first, it was probably tree branches, woven grass/reeds moving on to animal skins and later piling stone upon stone. Each generation improving on what mom and dad had called home.
The easiest is caves or depressions in the rock faces or in the crevices. You can see proof of those spots being inhabited by occasionally seeing simple paintings on the walls or soot from ancient fires that burned below. Found in North America, in France, in China, in Australia. That is the most simplest and the one you would look for if you were lost in the woods, the next being near under or beside a fallen log or two. Especially if you don't have any tools. So begins the start of the wood and rock buildings which continue on to present day.
i hope to god no one says caves. (the term ';caveman'; is technically false since very, very few early man actually lived in caves)

since the very beginning, man may not have even had any sort of house. like animals. sleeping under a tree, and roaming around nomadically for food. over time primitive structures like lean-to shelters or tee-pee like structures would have been used (using tree branches). OR depending on where the person lived, their home would be built out of stone and/or mud. (or a mix of mud, rock and tree limbs). and as knowledge expanded, homes got more complicated. though, the idea of a home has changed little. the only things that have changed really are the building material.
CAVES, or shelters made from sticks branches covered in leaves, or animal skins.

Where can I get the floorplans of homes, houses, and apartments in Korea?

I am interest in remodeling my house to the Korean style of homes.Where can I get the floorplans of homes, houses, and apartments in Korea?
You could try contacting a realtor in Korea, but you would probably have to pay them for their time. You could probably also find Korean magazines just like we have on home decorating.

How hot water system works in homes, houses, apartments Ilike to know?

    Traditional:

Cold water enters the top of the heater into heating coils and tank where it's circulated until it reaches the temperature you assigned it on the thermostat. It's held under pressure there at the same pressure as the cold water line. Leaves the heater when you turn on a hot water faucet and what leaves is replaced and heated by the same process. Fairly simple.

Tankless, or 'on-demand' just heats the water as you use it, rather than keeping a volume of water at a stable temperature.

Describe the home/housing of the people in Paraguay?

Due to it's landlocked location and a diverse ethnic poloulation, Paraguay is a mixture of Euorpeans (Spanish, German), Guaranis and Asians (Japanese). It's a poor country and although many of those who live in Asuncion (the capital) live in sturdy, modern buildings, those living in the Gran Chaco live in small rural housing. Asuncion was ranked the most affordable city to live in the world, however with widespread poverty (and corruption) many Paraguayans live by ends meet.Describe the home/housing of the people in Paraguay?

toothpaste works good for on the spot treatment, but the white stuff, not the gel.n make sure it says fluoride! also, mixing up a mask of honey, cucumber and grapefruit and leaving it on for 10 min also helps clarify. the grafefruit is a good antioxidant for the skin and cucumber is refreshing for it and makes your face appear brighter., also, to take down redness, try a green tea (or regular tea, but green tea is better) bag. put the bag in a little bit of hot/ boiling water for a minute and then take it out and let it cool. it doesn't have to be right cold though. the best thing that works for me tho is proactive. i only do it at night, not twice a day as it recomends cause my face will get too dry if i use it twice. it lasts a really long time and it works!HELP!! im 14 and i have a face of acne...what at home *house products* can i use to make it go away. tips?

I am sorry to say not to many house hold items help acne if Proactive didn't help I suggest seeing an MD for stronger medication that things over the counter can't help.

The only good advice is a hot compress at the end of the day but you need things that tackle the bacteria in acne.
Try Proactive if you can come up with the cash.

I suggest washing your face at night (I swear by the Wal-Mart knock-off of Noxema in the light blue pump bottle). In the mornings, make mixture of 1/2 rubbing alcohol and 1/2 water and use it like astringent with a cotton ball. Lay off the heavy foundation! Use powder if need, no sense for foundation. Don't use a moisturizer unless you really need to. If so, make sure it's oil-free and only rub it on the dry spots of your face.
rubbing alcohol!!! always works for me and then use a good oil free moisturizer make sure you wash your face everyday. Also I use clearisil vanishing cream during the day or when I think im starting to get a pimple and it makes it go away and try using noxema to wash your face.

I will describe two homes, can you guess who owns each home? House #1 is a 20 room mansion which has eight?

bathrooms, a pool and pool house, a seperate guest home. All are heated by natural gas. This home consumes 20 times the national average of gas. It's electric bill averages $2,400 per month. The home is not in the north or midwest.

House #2 has 4,000 sq.ft of living space including 4 bedrooms Heating and cooling are done using geotheral heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes that are 300 ft. underground. The water is usually at 67 degrees. Rainwater from the roof is collected in a 25,000 gal. underground cistern and is used inside the home. Wastewater goes into a purification tank and waters the grass and shrubs. The grass and shrubs are native to the area. This home is in the high plains.

Where should I buy a Home/House in Costa Rica?

Hello all !!, I have been thinking about traveling to Costa Rica, and possibly buying a house down there. I don't have much money or know the area but i think i would probably like to live within an hours travel to San Jose, and near a river o...r lake (safe to swim in) would be awesome, within an hour from the beach. Hoping for a place with beautiful scenery, and that is a relatively safe crime free area. Since I have never been i was wondering if anybody here might be able to help me with suggestions, comments, etc. also in starting a business and a non-profit down there. I understand costa rica is possibly the ';greenest'; country in the world. I have a construction business now, and would like to get involved in renewable energy. I would imagine solar power is big down there.Where should I buy a Home/House in Costa Rica?
If you do not have a lot of money Costa Rica is the wrong place for you. In any area you described, safe, 1 hour from San Jose, scenic, and 1 hour from a beach, the land will cost more than any comparable place in Florida, California, or Arizona. Costa Rica is very expensive. A lot of gringos are starting to get out, especially the ones that try to live on their social security.

That warning aside, you should look west of San Jose. Avoid Grecia and Atenas, they are the priciest areas and flooded with foreigners so everything is already priced for them. Smaller towns nearby are a bit cheaper, San Mateo, Orotina, San Ramon are a bit cheaper, have good bus service, and 1 hour from the Pacific coast or less, and about 1 hour from San Jose. Plus they are close enough to the gringo infested areas for your to try to have them as clients for construction work.

COsta Rica reputation for being 'green' is due to the large national park holdings. Outside of the parks Costa Rica is actually pretty dirty, most of the green is lip service and government funded tourism publicity.

SUn power is starting to catch on but most of the country is cloudy for almost half the year. The Atlantic side has about 330 rain days./ year.

As a resident you are allowed to own a business but you are not allowed to work for a wage or salary. So, set up your business, hire some people and pay them legally to stay out of trouble. THe total pay is about twice what the stated pay is, by the time you pay all the payroll taxes, 13 month, insurance, and so on. People get in a lot of expensive hassles when they cheat on these things so pay up front properly. The last thing you want is getting into a labor fight and having to hire a lawyer. Hari kari (seppuku really) would be cheaper and less painful.

You should look at Panama and Guatemala before deciding.(And other places too, of course.) UNless you're really rich and ready to spend COsta Rica is no longer the good deal it was when I got here.Where should I buy a Home/House in Costa Rica?
There are two things you need to do before buying a house in Costa Rica. First is become a citizen, second is get a real estate law degree from a university down there. From what I read and heard both first hand from friends that have moved there and second hand from various sources, without both, you'll end up with a bad deed and eventually lose your property when you go shopping or to the beach. The laws are extremely convoluted and are geared towards the existing land owners.
I have visited Costa Rica many times and love it.

But my feedback as a U.S. citizen is to rent and not buy.

Unless you are very rich, it is very hard to make the real estate laws work for you.

    It is a great place to visit for extended periods of time and CNN called it the ';happiest place on earth.';
Here is another website, you can look, is really good:

    http://www.welovecostarica.com/

    Good luck!
I have been to Costa Rica over 20 times since 1992, and have to mostly agree with the other responders to your question, that I have read so far anyway. In general, Costa Rica has become just too expensive and risky. How is it risky ? With all '; the haves '; that have moved there in the last ten years, there have followed the '; have not's '; to prey on them. And I include in this crime surge, the white collar criminals, the shady and downright illegal antics engaged in by disreputable abogado's, ( lawyers ). Getting a referral is not enough, as I was referred to a guy who cheated me out of $2K at my closing when I sold my last lot, then he closed on an acquaintance's home, and delayed the closing for over 3 months because he used his deposit money to buy a Mexican CD and was reaping the big interest for as long as he could stall. Stuff like this is not uncommon in Costa Rica.

My recent searches have uncovered the Sierpe area, on the lower Pacific coast, as the last area for inexpensive real estate. The last frontier for sure, a bit remote but like Costa Rica was 30 years ago, and adjacent to the Osa Peninsula as well. '; The most bio-diverse place left on earth, '; according to National Geographic. How long it stays relatively cheap is anyones guess. Just stay away from the realtors at Grupo Amigos de Sierpe S.A., ( don't ask )
while not necessarily as bad as the foregoing poster said, he's not far off the mark.

unless you are wealthy, there are some steps you need to take first:

take at least three month long vacations in CR, rent a car and scout the country. rent a flat and see how you like dealing with the the little daily items - shopping, mail, papers, etc.

read up on the property laws in CR - they differ from just about anywhere!

then learn to speak Spanish, then hire a lawyer you can trust - referral is a must!

check out the website below- tons of good info.
Beware that when you step off of U.S. soil, you better take your time on investment. It sounds like you worked very hard for your money and there are many opportunities all over the world to take candy away from a baby. Please rent a home in Costa Rica. It is not expensive to do and it will give you a good idea if it is really right for you. There are mountain homes, central valley homes, and beach homes. Some places are even condo style where there are guards. Hopefully you are fluent in the language (not really a requisite) and understand laws and contracts and the difference between a resident and citizen. Do not take all of your valuables down to any country until you really know if it is right for you. God Bless.
    I would consider Nicaragua.

But if you are set on Costa Rica then buy this map and study it. Run routes on your PC. I would study the map then pick three places that fit your criteria. Then visit for a few weeks to see if you like it.

Interesting about solar- this company is a GREEN company - site runs off of solar, they produce no paper in marketing and do not ship products - no fossil fuels burned in the process.

I know this is the wrong section but I knew there would be a lot of women in this section

I am a stay at home wife and really need some sort of a schedule to keep me busy all day Here's what I have to work with we have our room one bathroom a kitchen a laundry room/pantry a room that just had the carpet ripped out and is pretty messy and then he has an office and we have a living room big front yard/back yard. 3 dogs and 3 cats. I need a schedule monday thru fri from 8-5 to keep me busy and suggestions?

I don't want to work outside the home..I'm a stay at home house wife.?
    You definitly need a schedule.

Vacuum each morning and clean the furniture lightly

2 x a week pledge and windex all glass

2 x a week wash floors because of the animals.

Plan your meals for a week and do shopping 2 x's a week\

Start around noon with cooking and preparing

Clean out the fridge 1 x a week

Clean out the cabinets and pantry 1x a week

    Clean the bathroom 2 x's a week

    Wash down your countertops everyday

Water your plants and pick weeds when needed

    Walk all 3 dogs everyday

    Then brush them 2 x a week

Thats a startI'm a stay at home house wife.?
hahaha! i tried this one time. it was a great idea, but it just got too repetitive for me. clean the kitchen first thing every morning and keep it neat through the day so you dont have to rush around cleaning it before you try to cook. deep clean the bathroom once a week, maybe on thursday or friday so that if you have any company on the weekend, you wont have to do so much to get ready for them. dishes everyday, 1 load of laundry everyday [depending on how much you have], sweep everyday. pick a day for vacuuming the whole house, pick a day to wash special stuff [if you do that regularly, like bedding, comforters, curtains, etc.] pick a day to dust the whole house, pick a day to do things that have to be done in every room and do all the rooms on the same day. like the vacuuming, dusting, etc. hope this helps!
Write stories/poems, read, be a volunteer (at a school, hospital, or animal shelter), exercise, walk your dogs, make a garden....
Determine what your interests are and do them! What else is there to say... I'm assuming you are cleaning and cooking. What about reading some books. Exercising in the park. Volunteering somewhere. If you are starting school soon then study time will take up a lot of your free hours too.

An aside... you really should take a job doing something. Whether paid or not, the experience will help you after you graduate and are looking for a more permanent position. Whether you need the money or not, it's personal fulfillment rather than sitting here on Y!A wondering what to do with your life.

  • 80s music video- home/house...guitar?

the video i saw on fuse was from like a.... flashback kind of thing, and it was by a band that was named something like

    ';broken homes';

    or

';the bad home life'; it was something like that though, obviously not as blunt as those.

And the song I don't remember the name of but it was something like

    'you can fix this'.

The video is a house that would be like 50 feet long. and it's a guy that walks through a door and goes through his house playing the guitar and singing, and he'll go through another door into another room, and then into another all through a long series of rooms separated by doors.

Please let me know if you have any idea what i';m talking about!

p.s. the guy kind of looked like morrissey back in the old days.80s music video- home/house...guitar?

    Quirks a home/house could have?

I like to write in my spare time, and I am writting a story, about three girls who found a great, beautiful OLD (but renivated so some things are modern) house to rent. They think its a bit cheap, considering it has 3 floors, and is gorgeous, but they take it. After they move in, they realize it has funny quirks quirks. A LOT of quirks. One of which being that everytime it rains, the power going out. There's 5 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, an office, sitting/dining room, living room, kitchen, basement, balconies, 2 spiral stair cases and one regular staircase.

Any quirks you can think of are much appreciated. Here's some I've thought of s far:

    Basement floods

Garbage disposel propells food everywhere if not covered

Handle to a bathroom pops off frequently

    Thanks!Quirks a home/house could have?
here goes a very long one....

ok, i have two doors in my bedroom

one that leads to the bathroom and another that goes to the hall

when i leave one door slightly ajar (like its basically closed but the peg is not in the hole) and i open the other one, the air flow makes the other door open which occasionally freaks me out cuz its like another person coming into the room

essentially its this (open door from hall, air goes across room, hits ajar door and opens it, i go AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!)

others include doors that wont lock or ones that lock from the inside but your outside

a faulty faucet hose in the kitchen that sprays randomly at the user

candels melting sideways because it gets so hot upstairs

    toilets backing up

    and

ceiling fan blades becoming detached and slinging across the roomQuirks a home/house could have?
How about when it is damp or humid weather the doors tend to swell and stick shut.... sometimes making them nearly impossible to open, but when it is dry weather they tend to shrink and not latch well and open at awkward/ embarrassing moments....especially the bathroom doors!
    plumbing pipes thumping

wheezing gasping sound when the toilet is flushed

a squeak in the floor that moves: one day it is in the center, the next, it is by the door.

windows that will open by themselves(I had one. freaked me out and never figured out why it did it and when it would happen.)
every time lighting flashes no matter how far the blender or t.v starts, things tend to dissapear. the sink either starts and wont stop or wont turn on .
    Haunted?
had an old house with weird steps.... you going up them would put pressure on the step, it would sink a little...... then later on, the step would 'rebound' back to where it should be.... and it did it as if you were walking UP the steps again.... so, with no one around, you'd hear the creaks of 'someone walkiing up the stairs'....

another house was surrounded by clay soil.... when the soil was dry, nothing weird happened... but if it rained a lot and the soil got soaked, it sorta swelled up, putting pressure on the house's slab and wood supports.... and they creaked... that little bit of movement resulted in some very odd pops at the most inopertune times...like when all was quiet.....

Selling condo home house real estate mortgage please read on...?

Hi my buyer changed the contract

She is now putting down only 5 percent due to other family members bailing on her for the cash. She is going to refinance her home which is worth alot and get a mortgage of 80/20

She is a dentist and her husband is a dentist. The contract says she has 45 days to get a mortgage. Do you see any trouble in her getting one? I mean my apartment is worth like 450,000 and her apartment is worth like 700,000.

It is such a bad market and alot of people interested in my apartment has decided to hold off buying so I will sign due to dont think going to have a buyer for the price anytime soon.

WHAT DO YOU THINK????Selling condo home house real estate mortgage please read on...?
Buyer cash down doesn't really make any difference to you, the seller. As long as the loan funds and everything, you get every penny coming to you right upfront.

On the other hand, this looks like an investment property, and their current home is going to be 100% encumbered by loans?. A Cash out Refinance loan. Plus they're getting a 95% Loan to Value loan on investment property?

That sends ';cash flow warning'; signals flowing through my brain, and I'm a loan officer, not an underwriter. Underwriters are a little more intense about things like that. This is a situation that's right on the edge of possibility the way the market is right now - and that's *if* they can do a full documentation loan and prove they actually make the requisite money to qualify. Bad market or not, you're tying your property up in escrow, and by the time you discover it's not going to happen, you'll be right in the middle of Christmas Season. Nobody wants to move the Christmas Tree,

I'd want my client to have actual control of the deposit before I counseled them to sign something like that. Once it's in my client's possession, let them sue to get it back - if it's even worthwhile to the other side.

Oh, and if this transaction falls through, get yourself an agent with a clue.Selling condo home house real estate mortgage please read on...?
Getting an 80/20 is almost unheard of right now. I'd be careful.
    1) Do you have a broker?

    2) If not, get one. Seriously, brokers have seen hundreds of buyers, , some 1,000's and depending on their ability they can screen your buyers and make sure the offers are real.

    3) If the price is right, you should sell.

    4) A bad market? You guys crack me up. Interest rates are down, depending on the area - unemployemnt is down, buyers have been scared because of 7 states bad economies - that's it - 7 states + MEDIA BULL, spin spin spin - ';oh th emarket is horrible, LOL';: Florida+Nevada being the worst of the 2 - and that is temporary, maybe 10 months more before they level off and rebound trememndously.

So whatever, stay out of the buying and selling now and let us investors buy up all the good stuff, and when the market ';picks up'; in YOUR eyes, we'll double our money.

Today's market is a result of day traders, and inexperienced investors trying to make a quick buck and buying more than they can afford. Good, I hope you all learned your lessons.

Bored at home house mommy with a 16 month old, any help!...?

Ok so I have a 16 month old daughter whom I care for all day everyday pretty much by myself. My husband owns his own business and works 6 days a week all day long. My thing is that I don't know what to do all day with myself! My daughter seems like she is bored sometimes and I don't know what to do! I don't really have any friends to go hang out with or talk to. I'm 25 so I'm active and all, I take her outside sometimes but I want her to interact with other kids! I don't want to make her into an antisocial person or anything. It's just me and her 24/7. I was wondering if there is any places I can go to like clubs or a center or something I can join where I can take her and be with her (I'm not trying to put her in daycare or anything) while she plays with other kids. The playground in my neighborhood is usually filled with older kids who she can't play with. I live in Austin by the way. Any suggestions will help thanks!Bored at home house mommy with a 16 month old, any help!...?
MAke a bunch of food, that ur baby can eat and teach him/her how to walk or how to talk or singBored at home house mommy with a 16 month old, any help!...?
You sound like ALL of my girl friend's! They all complain the same thing. We're all in the same age group, I'm 23. I don't have kids, but I think that some of my friend's mentioned play groups they have for the kiddies when you go to a gym or sign up for college classes. So maybe do that?
The only other way is day care. Sorry, You could get a gym membership and put her in the daycare there for an hour a day, and well are you sure you don't know anyone who has kids for play dates? My nieces get all their friends at young ages at daycare.. I know you don't want to do that, but its not like she has to go all day. She could just go from 12 to 3 or something like that, and you could do house work, do shopping, and get your nails done or something.
join little gym...or check you cities website for local activities...there are always moms clubs...you could also join a church and get wrapped up in one of their groups...check craigslist or backpage for clubs....good luck...
Do they have any baby gyms there? I know that here (in NY) we have what's called the Little Gym. It's a place for little kids to go and be active and climb around on things and meet other children. This could also be a great place for you to meet other mothers to hang out with. Otherwise see if there are any playgroups in your area. Try craigslist, and if there aren't any you can start one!
I would suggest taking her to a park. The good thing about a park is, the cost is free. And you also have the chance to meet other mommies and find out what they do for fun with their children.

The little Gym is also a great place. I'm not sure of the cost to join, but you could find out at this link for the Austin Little Gym

    http://www.thelittlegym.com/gym/visit.as鈥?/a>

If you're a member of a gym, most of them offer child care. You could let your daughter play durring your work out sessions. If you're into that.

I would also suggest checking your local YMCA or YWCA. You can become a member for a resonable rate, and they offer family oriented services. http://websitest.daxko.com/websites/Aust鈥?/a>

The library is also a great suggestion. They usually offer reading sessions, and group activites for free. You can also just go to the library, find a comfy chair and read books to your daughter, and that too is cheap or free.

Craigslist is also a great resource. You can find classes, general activites. And even post your own ad if you want to start a group meeting of parents or have idea for a group meeting. I wanted to start a Coupon Clipping Club

    http://austin.craigslist.org/

Hope you find what you're looking for. And it is okay to spend a lot of time with your child. I don't think you will cause your daughter to be antisocial by being with her 24-7. Right now it's okay....It is way better than sitting them in front of a TV for hours, anyway.
of course there is dear, when my daughter was young we joined our church mothers groups, that was really her only contact with other kids and it was a really great thing, we also did a craft together everyday, also go for a walk everyday, not only good for you and baby, we would walk to different play grounds, you can also meet moms and kids there. If you don't have a mother's group one at your church, others do and you could call your local community center, enjoy these precious days with your daughter, before you know it they are gone.
Check to see if your area has a MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support). You can go to their website Momsclub.org to see if there is a local one near you or how to start one. You can also go on themommiesnetwork.com and see if there is a local group in your area there as well. Other organizations for Moms include MOPS but I don't have any information on them as I'm not affiliated with their program.
If your town has a regular magazine or newsletter, check it out for classes given by the city. The fee is almost always cheaper than a privately owned 'baby gym'. And even though you don't want to send her to daycare, maybe you could volunteer at one and of course bring her with you. It's a blessing to be able to be a stay-at-home mom. I'm sure some working moms who have to use daycare would be glad there's extra help a couple hours a day. Your child can interact with other kids and you can do some good volunteer work.
There are absolutely places to go and things to do. When I first had my son, I was so terribly isolated. When I moved to my new town, I found the MOMS Club. IT HAS BEEN THE BEST THING EVER FOR ME! Its a support group for SAHMs. Our kids get to play at least 1-3 times a week while we gab and talk! We talk on the phone, we email on the board all day. Its awesome. I've seen my son blossom socially for the first time, and I feel like I've really, really made true friends. Good Luck!

Here is the web address for the International Club. They can direct you to the local chapter.

    http://www.momsclub.org/
Look for Mommy and Me classes, or story times at the library. Try a rec center. You can call the local wic office or child care association and they will have some info.
Its time to become a GAMER grab a console and have fun.

Home house security and no signal?

I had Time Warner Cable for my phone service then I changed to to AT%26amp;T. Well AT%26amp;T never entered my house but once completed the alarm system doesn't work. Vector Security called and said that they are not getting a signal from my house. They then stated they can come out and fix it for $85.00. Well i'm mad because it's my right to change my phone company. Does anyone know the codes or what I can do myself to get it running again? Like I said they never even entered the home so i'm guess it's just some codes to enter into the alarm key pad. Please help me!!!Home house security and no signal?

  • New home / house checklist.?

I'm moving out of my home of 10 years and leaving my cheating husband and everything else behind. I want a fresh new start to my new life. I can't find any websites that have a ';check list'; of supplies / necessities I'll need for the new place. I don't want to forget anything.

example: coffee pot , can opener, iron, shower curtain, toaster, vaccuum ect.

I have about $1000 to spend.

thanks!! AngelaNew home / house checklist.?
I do still pretty well remember what I had when I moved into my first 'own' home.

    You will need:

    Plates and bowls

    Silverware

At least one skillet, and assorted sauce pans

    Cooking utensils

    Towels

    Sheets

    A bed or sleeping mat

    A plunger

Laundry detergent, Lysol, and white vinegar at least for cleaning

    A vacuum

    A broom and dust pan

    Cleaning rags

A shower curtain (very good thought there!) and bath mat

A coffee pot or tea kettle

    Food

An iron is nice, but not absolutely necessary if you buy no-iron clothes.

Fortunately, most of these things can be found relatively cheaply if you know where to look.

Good luck with your new life!

My child won't visit grandparents home -- house too old...?

My hometown is in another state, and my elderly parents still live in the home I grew up in, an older and modest townhouse in an urban area, as compared to the residence we have in a suburban area.

One child is visibly upset about visiting the g'parents home for two weeks. Said he wasn't comfortable staying there. My parents' home has older plumbing, and on our last visit this child would not use the bathtub during the one week visit.

Now my child has told me the only way he would go back to visit is if we stayed in a hotel!!! For me to get a hotel room for two weeks would add expense to a tight budget. I try to schedule low-cost activities in the town as entertainment when we visit, and we help out my parents while we visit.

The child is less than 12 YO, I cannot hire a babysitter to stay with this child while I travel and I am growing thin of fighting on scheduling this trip. As parent, how do I make this trip work and the child enjoys it?My child won't visit grandparents home -- house too old...?
Well, sometimes kids have to learn that they have to do things they don't want to. Say that the visit will happen but talk to your child about how to deal with each issue - i.e. have a plan. Talk to your child about why else they may not want to visit (may have nothing much to do with the house, who knows?) That is going to be part of your child's life as an adult presumably, i.e. visiting and staying places that are different than home. It's good experience I think. My child won't visit grandparents home -- house too old...?
don't let your kid tell you what do. tell him that you want to your see your parents.

WILL he die because of the plumbing

    NO,

    Did your parents abuse him

    No

so teach your child matter he is a selfish brat you are the adult you make the decision where to stay on a vacation whe he is older and have his own family it will be his choice

    look at it this way

If by chance you decide to stay where you leave now (just as your parents has) their is a chance that you might not see this child or his children because your home will be too old

If you let this child commend you now than you will have a lot of heartache in the future

Do not disappoint your parent because of a selfish child
Do you know story telling? Just take every opportunity to say stories of yourself at your parents place to your child, that is interesting and can catch the imagination of the child in an area that he really gets attracted to. Just touch on those topics that may make your father a hero sometimes and your mother the heroine sometimes. Cook up a real story when you hid underneath the crammed cot or dusty attic when your father had brought home a puppy and rabbit together and you were scared. Talk of the exotic way one could feel when your father walked across the room or entered the house in his heeled shoes making crisp tip top. Or, just talk of the huge drum on the outside when once a puppy or a cat had fallen inside and you were actually dropped down with a rope tied to your waist to lift it up, and may be if the drum is still there, that you would show it to him.

    blah blah.

    i'm sure it would work.
Have you asked him WHY he's uncomfortable staying there? He obviously has SOME kind of issue with it and to assume anything will not benefit either of you.
Well is it really hard water? Or well water? Because when I was little I hated going to my great grandma's house because her water smelled like eggs (as a lot of well water does) and tasted like pennies... even when she put it in lemonade or even cooked vegetables with it, I couldn't get over the taste. My parents and other relatives didn't mind the taste and thought I was crazy, but I HATED it.

Ask him if it's the water, and buy him a lot of bottled water/gatorade when you go if it is.
Maybe the child does not want to go anyway. Can the child stay with other relations or friends rather than make the trip hell for both of you?

What do you like about your Home? {House}?

I fell in love with this house 40 yrs ago when we got lost . We have loved being here all these yrs.and find it comfortable, safe and secure, and when we decided to sell, every time we talked to the kids I cried because I did not want to move, finally we decided not to move.I guess we'll keep the house until we just can't take care of it anymore. What do you like about your Home? {House}?
Cheap rent! What do you like about your Home? {House}?
It's paid for, nice neighbors, this is a stable area in town, close to shopping/bank etc., park %26amp; community swim. pool only one mile away.
It's brand new %26amp; it has a warm %26amp; cozy feeling throughout. I have it decorated in the colors that suit both my fiance %26amp; myself. It's a place where we can sit %26amp; relax %26amp; be ourselves, %26amp; feel safe. We love entertaining family %26amp; friends in our home %26amp; they enjoy being here. We have a beautiful view from our dining room table as we have our morning coffee or if we're eating dinner. We enjoy watching the birds, ducks, squirrels, etc. near the pond's edge. On occasion, the turtles come up into the yard %26amp; eat the birdseed that falls from the bird feeder.
I live at the end of a cul de sac, and most people in my town don't even realize my street exists. I can come home and hide from almost everything. My house is, and probably always will be, a work in progress. The yard needs help, and I need to paint practically every room, but getting to the destination is never as much fun as the journey, so I'm happy.
    The garden.
We gutted my house, graded the yard, put in levels in the yard with wood retaining walls, koi pond with water falls, swimming pool (lake Edna), and hot tub. Plantings all very tropical and dense, inside..new kitchen, new baths, new everything...walls taken out, you name it ..turned it into what is a real retreat from the outside world...then put a 6' wood fence around the entire property and planted heavily...very private world now. It is NOW a home.
    cosy, comfortable,

homely.i like my kitchen %26amp; garden.
It is comfortable and just the right size. It is also convenient

to shopping. We have a nice deck and like to sit and eat

outside in good weather. There are a lot of memories.

    We raised our kids here.
It is OK. Trying to sell it in a repressed market and unemployment where I live is 8.2 % (#1 in the USA), already dropped the price $10k below what I paid. Trying to get out before six months of depressing winter begins. Michigan.
I love this house my parents gave me. Its out in a country setting and I can see small animals off my back porch. Have several squirrels as tenants in the trees, have rabbits and birds of all kinds. My pup has lots of room to play. This is the perfect place for me to live.
It is comfortable. Nothing fancy, and easy to live in.
I love my precious shotgun house. My husband bought it when he was very young. He had it moved onto double lot.

Through the years he has customized it and added on bit by bit. The uniqueness of the wood trim etc. mmakes me smile and as I sit and admire all that he has done through the years.

He redid the bath and office and foyer and A/C before I moved in..in fact I helped do some of it when we just thinking about joining our lives.

The biggest plus is it is paid for.
I like my home because my garden has many perennials that I would hate to leave because each one is a memory. I wish it was a bungalow though because these stairs are really starting to get to me.
    it has a roof.
My yard. I love setting on the back porch and watching the birds in the bird feeders.
I love my home I bought it because my aunt lived here. It will always have a family member in it!!
I designed and built (contracted) it. It is on a wooded acre and it backs up to a park with squirrels, ducks etc...Perfect location to sit on the back porch and watch the park and the people in it.
i love my home because Jesus and James lives here w/ me.
the yard ,the fountain and the garden . I enjoy outside more than inside although the inside is equally as lovely . good luck .
i live in an apartment it is easy to keep clean
It is paid for and is in a convenient location to everything.

The only thing I really don't like is the messy pine trees. they are beautiful, but forever dropping, 1, needles 2 pine cones 3 pollen 4 flowers 5 sap on my car.
    Hi JennyAnn4,

I like my cozy house also. I too feel safe although anyone could get in if they really wanted too. I look around and consider how truly blessed I am to have a house and home.

IF you could build a new room on your home/house/apartment.......?

what would you put in it? what would it be to you? would it make you happy?IF you could build a new room on your home/house/apartment.......?
A conservatory, even a tiny one. I would put a table and chairs there so I could eat ';outdoors'; every day and get some daylight, I would put a small chair with a cushion on it as well for the cat to snuggle up on. It would be great to have the extra space, and lovely to be able to sit in the daylight and just be, or read, or people watch through the fence. As I am virtually housebound, it would be really special to me to have that kind of a room. IF you could build a new room on your home/house/apartment.......?
I have too many rooms in my house already. 4 bedrooms (there only 3 of us, and me and my husband share), 3 livings rooms - 4 if you count the enclosed porch), 3 car garage, storage room, unfinished attic, 2 bathrooms, kitchen (that's never used) and dining room, plus the gym and the pool house. Really, I have too many rooms now.

I would like a laundry room, though.
Ooooh... I want a 40'x 150' room for my ';dream'; model railroad !! A shop, lounge, and dispatchers office along with the HUGE layout space to represent the Union Pacific in California.

Computer controlled lighting to run between day and night as the day progresses on the layout, full-sound, and plenty of viewing space.

Well, I can't do a whole lot to the actual structure of the building I'm in--it's steel and concrete, and there are lease issues. o_O

But...with money as no object, otherwise....

--I'd definitely have a shower head put in, so I can clean up faster.

--Add a new, more effective air conditioner.

--Switch all my lights over to the CFL equivalent of 100+ watt full-spectrum bulbs, because in the winters, every little bit helps.

--Add shades that are *wired to* the metal frames of my windows. Why? This way, since I have a southern exposure, I'll be able to pick up satellite radio and TV. ^_^ And have privacy too.

--Get a sleeper sofa, new recliner even, just so I can move most of the bedroom gear to the living room area, which is plenty roomy.

--And then convert my bedroom into a mini-gym. ^_^ Complete with a heavy-bag and bag gloves for punching/stress-relief, a recumbent bike *And* an indoor rower so I can get both upper and lower body cardio, and maybe a bench with some spiffy free weights. Or....one of those ';power frame'; things for bodyweight exercise and stretching.

--And from there? That's *my* business....besides, surprises are a good thing in life, right? Why so serious? ^__^

*lolz* Hope this helps. Hell, I hope this *works* (no more breathers!).
I'd put in a stereo, an ipod docking station, nice fluffy bed, a trophy shelf, a wall of books, a wall of my paintings. a spare closet type area that would be my art room. and a computer. Definately a computer along with a desk that has all my book work on it. AND.... a wall where I can jsut write stuff on.

It would mean a lot of money to me.

    Vacation Rental Home(House) at Maui?

I am planning a trip to Maui for my whole family (10-15 ppl)

    Question is;

    1. Which area is good for vacation rental, Kapalua or Wailea? and why?

    2. For vacation rental home, is there anything I should be cautious about, check, should not miss?Vacation Rental Home(House) at Maui?
Hi there! You'll definitely have a good time on Maui.

    1) I'd recommend Wailea. No particular reason... just that I've been there, and haven't really visited Kapalua much...

    2) I've been using Owner Direct Vacation Rentals for more than 5 years now, and they're great. Never had a problem with them. They have a few vacation rentals in Wailea http://www.ownerdirect.com/accommodation鈥?/a> so you should check them out.

It's nice to see someone talking about vacation rentals instead of hotels... I can't see staying in a hotel ever again, since I found out about vacation rentals.

    What to check for:

    - Since you're travelling with such a large group, make sure there are enough bedrooms! If not, make sure the owner knows about the numbers, in case they're not comforatble with that many.

    - find out if there are any cleaning fees

    - do they have washer/dryer etc?

    - any children?

    - any pets?

    - smoking allowed?

When you call up Owner Direct, their customer service will give you any more information you want. You can feel free to ask them any questions you have too. They're the best customer service I've ever dealt with.

Have a great time on your trip!

Stay at home house spouse's? Do you do it all?

How much work do you think you average a day if you are a stay at home house spouse?

I would say I average about a solid 3 hours a day, cleaning and cooking, laundry, and lets not forget the yard!!

I actually get a great deal of pleasure out of this, however if I were working I don't think it would be the same.(pleasure would be out the window)Stay at home house spouse's? Do you do it all?
Good for you! There is nothing more rewarding than making a clean, safe, warm environment for your family.

When you have children, it's doubly important (and your days get busier).

Shame how so many women choose to ignore this part of their lives for the glamor (bleh) of working in a cubical. Then they come home stressed, have to clean up the house, feel frazzled about the kids, gain weight from the unhealthy food they're eating, and spur their husband's affection because they ';feel tired';.

You'd think that as women became more educated, more and more of them would make the decision you have....

....I'd work two jobs if it kept my wife at home and taking the concern of the house and kids off my shoulders.

And I'd love her everyday for doing this for me.

Good Job! Good Luck!Stay at home house spouse's? Do you do it all?
I am occasionally a stay at home spouse because in my husband's lime of work we travel a lot. I would say that including the cooking, laundry, cleaning the house, doing the shopping and keeping myself up, I probably like you only spend about 3 hours a day at that. I do like to do other things to occupy my time however. I like to read, take long walks, do crafts and I spend a lot of time on the computer. My husband loves to come home to his meal ready for the table, his house spotless and his clothes taken care of.

    Red
I would say on an average day I put in about 8-9 hours of solid work. I do all of the cooking and cleaning, homework help, and getting everyone ready for school, taking them to school, picking up, blah blah. I keep everything really relaxed though and will sit down to have a soda and surf the web and answer questions on here too, so my work spreads out from when I get up til when I go to bed. I think that the kids really lump on that extra time and it will be very nice when my son hits full day school next year--he is half day kindergarten where we live.

EDIT: With just cooking, cleaning, laundry, and yardwork, I would say about 4 hours. I figure about an hour for each meal, before and after, and also an extra hour thrown in there for my regular straightening up the house. Some days a little more if I am scrubbing the tub or vacuuming.
    I'm a stay-at-home wife, student, and mom-to-be.

and I put a few hours into each title on a daily basis:

    as a wife,

everyday I spend a few hours cleaning up the house (laundry, dishes, vaccuming, etc..), cooking dinner from scratch, packing my husband's lunches for work, doing little things to make my husband smile (like baking cookies, writing love-notes for his lunches, or just practicing my pole dancing routine)

    as a student,

everyday I spend a few hours studing my courses. I'm going for my degree as a vet tech, and since I don't have a job I have alot of time to do my school work, so I get almost straight A's and B's.

    as a mom-to-be,

I also take time everyday to read up on the birthing process and infant parenting. I take classes through the local hospital on breastfeeding, labor and delivery, infant massage, etc... I decorated our nursery with hand-sewn blankets which I made myself these past 8 months (I am 39 weeks pregnant, due next week)

    I keep busy

%26amp; I'm proud of myself for all that I do..makes me feel useful...better than feeling bored
I'm not a housewife, I have a full time job and I still do it all when I get home (cook, clean, laundry, yard, make the next days lunches for both of us...) and I couldn't imagine that being all I did everyday - i would want to shoot myself in the head if I stayed at home...
My stay at home spouse did bugger all so as well as working a full time job I'd have to spend at least one of my days off (morning to afternoon) doing all the chores that hadn't been done during the week which is ridiculous as we only lived in a one bed place.
im not a housewife at the moment i work full time im a part tiem student and clean the house. When i was a stay at home wife i got bored and would jsut want to watch tv all day.
i did that for a while when my child was young i would do the cleaning cooking etcccc............ now that im working to we both share chores. staying home was good while he was young but after that i got bored and depressed wanted to work get out a little
I work 45 hrs a week and spend an average of 15 hrs a week on housework/cooking. Then another 5 hrs a week on shopping and errands. It sucks.
about 4 hours Id guess but not everyday.

    Good luck
This is funny. Well i have 2 kids under 5 and my 15 year old brother lives me as well. So there 5 of us in our home plus 2 cats and a dog. I stay home and take care of things and run the house. But at my house everyone puts in effort. So laundery idk seems like everyday its going and load the dishwasher 1 or sometimes even 2 times a day. My brother cleans his own bathroom and mows the yard.

if i let him, i like doing yard work. I can't really say how many hours i spend on everyday household chores cuz I don't do it all. I am not the only living here and i'm not the house maid. My kids are well behaved with there evil moments, lol, but are responsible and understand values of things. The 5 yr old wanted a puppy and she takes good care of him herself. I dont do anything but put water in his bowl. Hes tiny so he goes on puppy pads and she changes those to and puts a new one. I'm very proud of my kids on how good they do on helping each other and it gives me more time to play with them and teach them things. My husband even does things around the house to when asked, lol. My brother is still getting use to living with me and my rules(he is very sloppy, but much better now). So i guess 2-3 hours sounds good a day. Just on house housework and not kids. i am always happier when at home instead of being at work somewhere. I do get less pleasure if im working at a job instead of being a stay at home mom.

You are legally responsible for yourself at age 18, but you can become emancipated earlier if you take your case to court. However, since you can't even spell ';else'; or ';Miami';, I'm thinking you might want to listen to your mother for as long as she's willing to give you advice.

    The Angels' Name

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day he asked God: ';They tell me that you are sending me to Earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there, being so small and helpless';?

    And God answered, ';I chose an angel for you. She will be waiting for you and will take care of you.';

    ';But here, in Heaven, all I ever do is sing and smile and laugh. That's enough for me to be happy.';

    ';Your angel will sing for you and will smile for you every day. And you will feel your angel's love and be happy.';

    ';And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language that men speak?';

    Your angel will speak to you using the sweetest, most beautiful words you will ever hear; and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.';

    ';And what am I going to do when I want to talk to You?';

    Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.';

    ';I've heard that on Earth there are bad men. Who will protect me?';

    ';Your angel will defend you, even if it means risking her life.';

    ';But I will be sad because I will not see You anymore.';

    ';Your angel will talk to you about Me, and will teach you the way for you to come back to Me, though I will always be beside you.';

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven. Voices from Earth could already be heard, and the child asked softly, ';God, if I am about to leave now, would you please tell me my angel's name?

    ';Yes, child,'; said the Lord, ';You will call your angel: Mommy.';
I would go to Target or Wal Mart and look in the card section. I know I have seen that one on a card but cannot tell you exactly what is says.

If somebody claims i tresspassed his/her home/house, what does that mean?

i went to see my g/firl at her house and was charged for tresspassing....If somebody claims i tresspassed his/her home/house, what does that mean?
Trespass occurs the minute you step inside another person's home or property without the consent of the owner.

Whether or not you truly trespassed has to do with how far you went to see your girlfriend. Did you physically open the door to her home and step inside? Was it clear that she did not want you to come inside her home?

There is a great public policy in this country against people who trespass into other persons' homes. The law is set out this way to allow people to ';protect their castle.'; Trespass is considered such a serious defense that people are allowed certain rights to inflict bodily harm onto anyone who physically enters their personal home (where they live) against their wishes. If somebody claims i tresspassed his/her home/house, what does that mean?
THAT MEANS THAT HER PARENTS OR WHOMEVER DID NOT WANT YOU THERE, AND YOU SHOULD STAY AWAY BEFORE YOU GET INTO SERIOUS TROUBLE, THIS WILL ALSO GO ON YOUR POLICE RECORD!!. GOOD LUCK!!
Trespassing means entering property with out permission. You can explain to whoever charged you that you were just seeing your girlfriend. If it's your girlfriend who accused you, then apparently she's mad at you. Unless you can prove you had permission to go to the property, your in trouble!
Trespassing means being on someones property without there permission.
it means you were on the owners property without their permission..your 'girlfriend' doesn't like you too much does she?
you entered the property without the owners permission.
that means you went on his/her property without their permission.

  • UV UVA UVB rays in home house- problem?

I live in Florida and we have high uv almost all year long. How much uv do you get inside the house? Does it depend how close you are to the windows? Also, if you wear glasses with uv protection, does the uv come in the side of the glasses where your eyes are not covered- thanks in advanceUV UVA UVB rays in home house- problem?
If you are shaded from the sun by a house wall or roof, you will be protected from solar UV. If you are standing inside a single pane window through which sunlight is falling on you, you will get nearly 70% of the UV that you would if you were outside.

Ordinary clear window glass lets in about 70% of the sun's UV radiation.So-called ';low-e'; clear window glass transmits about one quarter of the solar UV. There are special glazing products that cut the UV down to nearly zero. One example is called ';Heat Mirror with XUV';, which you can look up on the Web along with many other approaches to reducing UV incidence.

Yes, UV radiation can come in the side of your sunglasses. If the sun is shining on you from any angle, you are getting the UV component. However, sunlight coming in from the side of your sunglasses is not likely to shine directly into your eyes, so there will not be as large an effect. If this is an issue, get ';wraparound'; sunglasses, or a pair with side shields. Also wear a big brim hat or a sunshade.UV UVA UVB rays in home house- problem?
Ultra violet radiation is a problem for Floridians and I would recommend avoiding the sun for long periods of time and using a high SPF sunblock. Incoming solar radiation comes primarily from the sun by short wave radiation, so it will penetrate glass and you can get burned standing next to a window. In fact, like a magnifying glass the effects of standing next to a window can be amplified.

Short wave radiation is very intense invisible light.

Protection of the eyes is critical too, because the sun can cause irreperable damage there too.
    some uv safer than others

    uva 320-400 um safest

    uvb 280-320 um moderate

    uvc below 280 um unsafe

prolonged exposure to uv lower the immunity, dna mutated and caused skin cancers.

indoor window glass blocks 90% of uv below 300 um. so in any case indoor is safer

we have 2 of those heaters u can mount on the wall it has bricks that fill with gas and ignite and it heats our house just fine it uses LP gas and we keep the one in the living room set on one brick on reg. days but on cold days we put it on 2 and the one in the kitchen is set on one and if the house heats up to around 76 which is comfortable we can turn the one in the kitchen off it does not use electricty and all our heat stays in the house unlike ones vinted with a chimney they allow over half of ur heat to go outside and that wastes money...i would love to get electric heat but then the light bill would go through the roof lol...
    Personally....gas

But I like what my uncle did....he bought %26amp; fitted his house with a furnace that can run off either gas or wood.

-It's nice because all he has to do is go down to the basement %26amp; put in a few large pieces of wood a day.

-That same nice feature is also the hassle. Having to stoke the fire when it needs it.

But they live in the country so wood is easy to come by (they've even burnt paper/cardboard).
    Very expensive, electricity.

So we make sure we heat up the entire house in an hour then off.

Then when the house is cold again, on again for an hour again then off.

Until we all went to bed. Off.

    Winter is quite expensive.
It's nice to have a house in the Tropics for winter and one up North for the summer. But if not migration then I would choose solar or wood burning. I love an open fire.
We live in a mild climate, so, when it does get cold, we use everything at our disposal, propane, electric, wood pellet stove seems most economical.
Well I have electric heat but I like to watch them flickers in the fireplace therefore I toss alot of logs on the fire right :)

    Stay warm ova there :)
Solar power because it is environment friendly.
    Kerosene and wood furnace
dont heat house! summer all year round. ask of cooling house:

ac and fan and well ventilated home
    gas

Does your home/house reflect who you are?

on the outside (the side you present to the world)

    or

the inner you? (the real you)Does your home/house reflect who you are?
My house doesn't reflect me because it's my parents' taste because i am only 16 years old, so i live with them still. My room reflects me though. My room is a light, pretty shade of pink and there are hot pink polka dots on 2 of my walls. My room is bright, so i would say my room and I are colorful, fun, and cheerful.Does your home/house reflect who you are?
Neither. My wife talked me into getting a house - I wanted a simple, quite little condo. Later, her sister and four kids moved in - the house is now chaos, which is 180-out from my personality.
    Neither.

It reflects what I'm trying to run away from. I'm in my early 20s, I moved back home to help my family and start a business. I hate being ';home';, I want to buy my own house so badly.
my home inside presents what i am like. its purple through out and that was me. i am slowly changing it cause i am selling and that is all i have to say abut that.
Yes, I am a guy who lives by himself.. That equals sloppy and in need of a good cleaning.
Yes both, I think... they always say home harbors no evil :)
I sure hope not, this place is too small and too full of stuff. I need a bigger place.
The rooms I got to redo reflect me, but the rest reflects my parents.
Yeah, I think it does for a lot of people... Interesting
Well we are finally fixing my room, I got to pick the carpet and colors, it's going to reflect me I think.
yes. Brad Pitt is a cool guy,
you'd have to come and see mine ;)
    my room does. ;D

Is anyone selling their home house in Buffalo, NY?

My husband and I are moving to Buffalo in Dec/ Jan and are looking for a house to buy. Preferably 3+ bed and 1.5+ bath. Has to have a driveway. Is anyone selling their home house in Buffalo, NY?
I am planning on making the move to Western New York in spring or summer 2007.

There are lots of houses for sale up there, I assume you mean the Buffalo area not the city itself.

You should be pleasantly surprised with the home prices there.

  • Counter offer rebid on HUD home house?

I found out I just got out bid on a HUD home, can I rebid or counter bid on this property ?Counter offer rebid on HUD home house?
No, HUD collects all of the bids and picks the top one. It is a one shot deal. When your agent found out you were out bid it was already too late, someone else has the offer.

If the offer falls though HUD sends it though the program again, you start from scratch.Counter offer rebid on HUD home house?
Generally, no. The bidding process accepts the highest net to HUD, and does not allow for counteroffers, etc. Only if the successful bidder does not close and the house goes back into HUD's system will you be allowed to rebid.
You will have to check with the listing agent. In most cases, top bid wins, but if the contract date has not expired, you may be able to raise your offer.
You can always try - if its worth it to you. Check with the authorized agent.
